How To Eradicate Islamic Fundamentalism by Prabhakar Deshpande (India)

Islam is a threat to civilised way of living. Islam has caused a global havoc in the world. Wherever Islam is, there trouble soon follows. Kosovo, Bosnia, Dagestan, Afghanistan, Libya Iraq, Iran, Kashmir, Pakistan, Chechnya, Albania, Algeria, Indonesia are just few of the instances which demonstrate the mayhem and destruction that Islam inflicts on humane way of living.

Out of more than 50 Islamic countries , not one is democratic. Admittedly Bangladesh and Malaysia put a facade of democracy. But the wise know better.

Islam holds potential of causing menace not only in Islamic countries, but also in nations where Muslims are a minority. India's sad story needs no recounting. But consider USA. The Nation of Islam - organisation headed by Louis Farrahkhan - demand a separate nation for African Americans in USA. Thus Islam after partitioning India is now intent on destroying the other great democracy - the USA - by breaking it up. Though Britain has behaved wisely by banning Louis Farrahkhan from entering UK, Britain has its own share of misfortunes caused by Islam. The Muslim population in Britain - mainly from Pakistan and Bangladesh - have their own Muslim Sharia Courts and Muslim Parliament. If such extra constitutional and plainly illegal attempts at parallel governance go unchecked , soon Britain will be ruled by Islamic Mullahs. Sounds farfetched. Well look at Kosovo. France has 4 million Turkish immigrants and has not been immune from the ravages of Islamic fundamentalism.

The Indian sub-continent has around 500 million Muslims. With such huge number of people subscribing to vile and vicious philosophy, capable of causing unimaginable misery and affliction, Hindus in India need to take proactive steps to ensure that cultured, civilised and humane way of living are not threatened.

But what to do? Well in short - Reconvert Muslims. But is that possible? Why not. Let me explain a strategy that holds potential for success.

In the recent 1999 General Elections, 20% of Muslims in India voted for BJP. One may safely surmise, that this 20% of the Muslim population - or 30 million Muslims - are open to considering the Hindutva philosophy. By extension one may even say that these 30 million Muslims find the Muslim social life stifling and violent. These 30 million Muslims may even be looking for breath of fresh air - an alternate and a more gentle and pleasant way of life.

The VHP should target these 30 million Muslims for conversion.VHP can start series of "Shuddhikaran Yatras" - Purification pilgrimages. The intention is to purify our unfortunate Muslim brethren of slime and muck of Islam. These Yatras should go to every Indian city and village and invite Muslims to purify themselves by reconverting to Hinduism.The Yatras should be equipped with lawyers for formalising the reconversion and change of name. Remember as we previously analysed , 30 million Muslims do view Hinduism in positive light. Admittedly it would be unrealistic to expect roaring success instantly. May be a few thousand Muslims may be convert in the first Yatra. But soon such a movement is bound to pick momentum. In 15 years , if these Yatras keep on happening, Hindus could definitely succeed in converting 30 million open minded Muslims. By then the resistant and fanatical Muslims will start having second thoughts. In another 10 years - that is 25 years from now - all the Muslims in India can be reconverted to Hinduism.

But the troubles don't end there. We still have 350 million Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh. But there is no reason to loose hope. With today's interconnected world - what with satellite television, internet and all - the winds of change blowing in India are bound to affect the neighbouring countries. The Muslims in sub continent are mentally and emotionally connected. When the Muslims in Pakistan note that their counterparts in India have had the fortune of freeing themselves from the clutches of Islam, they are bound to want to be liberated themselves. If the VHP - international as its name suggests - then opens branches in Pakistan and Bangladesh then in another 25 years - 50 years from now - even the Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh would have come home.

Thus by 2050, Islam would have been eradicated from sub continent. But India cannot afford to be selfish. India should shoulder its global responsibility of ensuring that Islam cannot threaten and destroy democratic and civilised ways of life anywhere in the world. Hence the VHP should then turn attention to Iran and Indonesia. Indonesia was formerly Hindu nation - witness Bali even today. Indonesian language bears striking similarity to Sanskrit. Similarly Iran. Iran was a Zorastrian nation. But Zorastrianism is derived from Vedic religion. The Zend Avesta has remarkable similarity to Rig Veda. Iranians so love Hinduism, that Persian translation of Mahabharata serial has the Iranian television viewer permanently hooked. So by 2065 , a Hindu Iran and a Hindu Indonesia.

Then VHP should turn attention to Africa. Africa is a continent with fast growing population. Africa has a large number of Muslims. Africans are black and dark. Africans would like to have black and dark Gods. Hinduism with lot of black and dark Gods - Shiva, Krishna, Rama, Kali - can alone satisfy the spiritual quest of African brothers. So by 2085 all of Islamic Africa should be Hindu.

The remaining Arab nations can then , with the assistance of VHP, liberate themselves from Islam by 2100.

Plan of action can be summarised as follows :

- Start with "Shuddhikaran Yatras"
- Target the 30 million Muslim BJP voters
- By 2015 convert 30 million Muslim BJP voters to Hinduism
- By 2025 convert all Muslims in India to Hinduism
- By 2050 convert Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh to Hinduism
- By 2065 convert Indonesian and Iranian Muslims to Hinduism
- By 2085 convert Islamic Africa to Hindu Africa
- By 2100 , even the Arab nations will be Hindu

As we approach the new millenium , we must realise the onus that we have towards maintain civilised, democratic, humane way of life. We need to combat and destroy the savage, vile , insidious forces of Islam threatening humanity. India has contributed to world a lot. India owes it to the world , to save the world from the plunderings of Islam. Only India can save the world from Islam. India must save the world from Islam. Start now. 'Shubhasya Sheegram'.
